AVA was created with a deep understanding of the everyday challenges faced by people living with vision impairment. Rather than being designed as just another technology tool, AVA was built to support independence, confidence, and structure in daily life.
The idea behind AVA comes from real experience within the vision-impaired community, where simple tasks like remembering appointments, managing routines, or staying organized can become more difficult without the right support. Because of this, AVA was designed as a voice-first assistant that provides clear guidance, helpful reminders, and daily support in an accessible and easy-to-use way.
Through QualityLife Collective, the mission is to empower vision-impaired individuals with tools and resources that promote independence, connection, and a better quality of life.
I built Ava because I needed her myself.
Living with vision impairment, I know what it feels like when the world isn’t designed for you. When every app, every screen, every system assumes you can see perfectly. When asking for help feels like a burden. When one overwhelming day makes you feel further behind than ever.
